About event
The next year of the successful Summer Art Symposium at the Villa Pellé Gallery is here.
This year, at the summer graphics workshop, we will try out what it is like to be a graphic artist and immerse ourselves in the world of visual creation. In five days we will get to know paper - from its production to printing without modern tools. We will try techniques such as linocut, monotype or dry needle. We will also explore experimental graphics such as cyanotype and work with shadow and image composition. We will create our own paper and primitive drawing tools, original large-format works and discover new possibilities for creation. At the end, we will organize a vernissage and present an exhibition of works for which I will print my own tickets. Then you can take your own adjusted linocut or your own printed textile home as a souvenir.
SCHEDULE:
- Day 1 - Imprinting as the oldest principle: printing from nature, production of drawing tools, large-format portraits and dating games
- Day 2 - Handmade paper production, decorating with nature, creations from paper
- Day 3 - Graphics as a craft, creation of the first illustrations: introduction to history, familiarization with the principle of printing. Some of the graphic techniques: linocut, drypoint, monotype
- Day 4 - Experimental graphics: cyanotype, print from nature on textile
- Day 5 - Preparation of the joint exhibition - tickets, flyers, poster and final opening for parents
