About event
Wet the brushes and get on, our line is about to start! It will stretch far to the east.
Participants will travel across Asia and revive ancient arts, crafts and inventions. They will visit the marketplace of ideas, where Asian traditions meet European ones. They make their own paper, mix colors, create batik patterns and let nature guide them in creating their own ornamental universe. In this way, the participants will get to know the cultures that also inspired Rembrandt.
Lecturers Anna Tomanová and Olga Fadli Pětivoká will accompany you through the studio. The studio takes place in the exhibitions and studio of the Salmovské Palace, in the Old Masters exhibition in the Schwarzenberg and Šternber Palace, in the garden of the Šternber Palace and the surrounding area.
Bc. et BcA. Anna Tomanová is dedicated to gallery education and restoration. She enjoys working with children and works of art, and she enjoys connecting these two worlds the most. She likes to discover new landscapes, cultures and art techniques and passes on knowledge with enthusiasm.
MgA. Olga Fadli Pětivoká is an artist, designer, bamboo construction technician, shadow theater performer and bamboo instrument player. In his practice, he connects classical, Asian and contemporary art and builds on traditional expressive techniques. She studied at the VŠUP (UMPRUM) Prague, works in art and educational projects in Southeast Asia and in the Czech Republic, where she teaches at a gymnasium and a higher vocational school.
