Never give up, not to lose hope, try her limits - this is the credo of Dina Štěrb, who was the first woman in the world to conquer the Himalayan eight thousand Cho Oyu in 1984. At that time, women with ice axes and scallops were a rarity on eight thousands. She fought to the highest peaks during normalization. There was no support from the mountaineering union, men did not take women for expeditions. She earned her chimney demolition and sewing bags. In 2005, Dina went to Baltistan, Pakistani, who affected the catastrophic earthquake, and founded a small non -profit organization with her climbing colleague Vítězslav Dokoupil. They helped repair bridges at 3,500 m, build a road, irrigation channel and water supply to one of the most remote villages. After two years of efforts, they built a small Czech hospital there. Their project has saved many lives in 17 years of activity. Dina realizes that the market mechanism has entered the highlands and also has negative consequences. Nevertheless, Dina, like most religions, believes that saving one person is equal to the rescue of the world. It is written in the Bible and the Qur'an. We will also accompany the eighty -one -year -old climber at her farewell to the mountains and her humanitarian mission in Pakistan.
