About event

11 reading locations – 11 genres – 39 authors. This will be the 9th reading night on the M8 in 2026!

New to the 2026 program are the LYRIK-NIGHT, the OSSI-NIGHT and the RUNDFUNK-NACHT.

Extraordinary reading places such as the Lehmhaus ALPHA 2, the village church in Alt-Marzahn, the Autohaus Lessing and the ADTV dance school Kotzur invite you to for the ninth time to listen.

The YOUNG PHILOSOPHICAL NIGHT is taking place in the Mark Twain District Central Library. Cassy, Tim Gärtner, Vivian Victoria Nestler, Vivienne Pabst and Sanya Lehmann will read texts that deal with growing up and the perspectives of young people.

The volunteer agency will be involved as a supporter and reading location for the first time in 2026.

We welcome well-known and new actors to the 9th reading night:
You may have already seen Gisela Oechelhaeuser, Vincent Kliesch, Britta Wulf and Peter Bause at one of the past reading nights.
In 2026, Abini Zöllner, Adrian Kostré, Patricia will appear for the first time Pantel, Andreas Kessler and Elisabeth Wesuls and Gerd Adloff.
Experience cabaret, travel stories, poetry, eroticism and much more.

Visit up to three readings of your choice with one ticket.

Of course you can stay in one place.

The special thing about the Reading Night on the M8, however, is that you can move from place to place. 45-minute breaks between readings give you the opportunity to change location. Come talk to each other and enjoy the evening.

We look forward to your visit on January 17th, 2026!
