About event
A production of Janáček's opera performed by students of the Department of Singing and opera direction of HAMU.
"Please, person, why are you laughing so much? - But here's Bystrouska, my lord." The laughter of the housekeeper Maria Stejskála reading the stories about the cunning fox by the writer Rudolf Tésnohlídek with comic cartoons by Stanislav Lolek in Lidové noviny led the composer Leoš Janáček to the material, which he turned into one of the most popular operas of the 20th century. The production by director Beno Blachut, performed by singing and conducting students of HAMU, is inspired by tramping, as a symbol of the desire for freedom, which even the fox Bystrouška longs for. The performances will be played with a piano.
Warning: There will be shooting in the performance.
