LEONIDEN announce with the new single "Never Never "Announces their fourth album "Sophisticated Sad Songs" for August 23rd, 2024 and will go on a European tour of the same name from October.
Anyone who has seen LEONIDEN live even once will remember this for a long time: Of surreally happy faces on and in front of the stage, of wide soundscapes, of solidarity circle pits, somersaults, experimental synth contortions and circulating guitars. These special live moments have been at the center of the band's DNA from the beginning and have made LEONIDEN a little better, louder and better known from festival summer to festival summer.
With the new album "Sophisticated Sad Songs" LEONIDEN transform collective discomfort into shared happiness in seconds – the Leonid paradox. The songs of the Kiel five-piece around Lennart and Felix Eicke, Jakob Amr, Marike Winkelmann and Djamin Izadi always seem to be enveloped in a veil of euphoria, are extremely danceable and predestined for the largest possible stages. In direct contrast, on a lyrical level, the same pieces almost always convey negative, world-weary thoughts that are just waiting to be drowned in the collective dance frenzy.
In the upcoming festival season, the quintet will once again climb over stages and let hundreds of individuals tangle together in the mosh pit. Immediately afterwards, LEONIDEN will go on tour with the new album "Sophisticated Sad Songs" of the same name.
Tickets for the "SOPHISTICATED SAD SONG - TOUR 2024" will be available on April 26th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. at < a href="www.leoniden.shop">www.leoniden.shop and all known presale locations.
