About event
Zenith represents the party of the future in a world marked by social and political unrest. Dance here turns into a form of catharsis – a ritual act of resistance and release, which is born from the ruins of a parched society and an ecological crisis. In this fragmented space, life and decay, endurance and renewal meet.
a performance that transports us to a future shaped by the threats of the present – social oppression, political unrest, climate change, inequality and the loss of freedom. Governments are gaining more and more control, surveillance is ubiquitous, and people's voices are being silenced. In this world, dancing is illegal, art has disappeared, and people live in gray, broken cities without feeling or hope. Without creativity and connection, life is silent and empty.
Dancers fill the choreographic framework through improvisation aimed at openness and adaptation. The goal is to reach the zenith - the moment of greatest strength or success. This ritual act goes through repeated cycles that represent an effort to learn from the mistakes of the past. In this situation, a celebration takes place once a decade. A rare event about mutual meetings, feelings, memories and defiance. Movement ritual brings people together to resist isolation. Zenith creates a space where emotional release, human connection and the joy of unity are transformed into an act of defiance. In a world controlled and numbed by fear, freedom of movement becomes an essential need.
Zenith asks the questions: "What happens when art is silenced and freedom suppressed?" When the planet is destroyed, society divided and technology takes over?” The production reminds us that creativity, connection and tolerance are essential for survival even in the darkest of times. It is resistance and togetherness that can bring hope.
