About event
The book will be presented by Raphael Yudin, one of the coordinators of the work, and Vítor Rodrigues, clinical psychologist, trainer, speaker and writer.
ABOUT THE WORK
Today, feeling unprotected and little Represented by conventional regimes based on representative democracy, European citizens have been seeking alternative ways of making their voice, opinion and capacity for intervention heard in the public space, legitimately aspiring to participate in decisions that directly concern them.
On the fiftieth anniversary of the movement that changed the regime in Portugal, this is a work of great interest and relevance, which shows that there are alternatives to the way we organize ourselves as a society, proposing the evolution towards a democratic model more suited to the times, circumstances and context that we live today: participatory democracy.
Coordinated by Raphael Yudin and Nicollas Croynder, this work is divided between articles and interviews, with the valuable contribution of authors of various nationalities, training and professional backgrounds, and a very varied range of experiences of political and civic intervention, offering a serious and in-depth reflection on the foundations, functioning and evolution of democracy.
