We invite you to Tuning the city - a performative situation for 300 instruments and one city curated by Fer Király, Eva Vozárová and Petra Fornayová as part of Trenčín 2026.

WHERE: Trenčín center
ADMISSION: free
Car radio in convoy, demolition free permits, the echo of a horn in the distance. From the scaffolding on the horn solo clarinet. The brass band at the traffic lights plays on every green light. The string quartet in the tunnel endlessly tunes the chamber and. The trombone section plays a sonata to the rhythm of children's swings. One hundred musicians, two hundred children, thirty bicycles and two fire trucks are trying to maintain a long unison on the square.
Imagine that something like this really happens.
Taking the city is a collective sound situation for the city of Trenčín. Her creative team is Fero Király, Eva Vozárová and Petra Fornayová. The performers will be male and female musicians, amateurs and professionals, adults and children who have been preparing for the premiere all year.
The premiere - and the only performance - will take place on May 22, 2026 in the center of Trenčín. We invite you to be there.

Ladenie mesta is created as a new work tailored for Trenčín 2026. In the context and time-space of the European Capital of Culture, we continue the strong tradition of the Slovak conceptualists of the 60s and 70s, Ladislav Kupkovič, Milan Adamčiak and many others. The meeting place of many different musicians in a public space means the courage to experiment and look for what we have in common.

ZDRUŽENIE OOO was founded in the spring of 2020 out of the need to create dedicated space for exploring the world through sound art, contemporary music and intermedial art. The founding members are musician, educator and intermedial artist Fero Király and playwright, cultural manager and performer Eva Vozárová. The association's authorial and curatorial interest is focused on projects that delve into the complex relationships between human and non-human beings, including areas of acoustic ecology, deep listening, environmental and social topics and disciplines such as anthropology, philosophy, mathematics and other fields of knowledge. The association prefers considerate artistic interventions. www.zdruzenie.ooo

A car radio in a traffic jam, demolition without a permit, the echo of a siren in the distance. A solo clarinet from scaffolding on the corner. A brass band at the traffic lights plays on every green. A string quartet in the underpass endlessly tunes a chamber A. A trombone section performs a sonata to the rhythm of children's swings. One hundred musicians, two hundred children, thirty bicycles and two fire engines attempt to sustain a long unison in the square.
Imagine something like this actually happening.
Tuning the City is a collective sound situation created for the city of Trenčín. The creative team consists of Fero Király, Eva Vozárová and Petra Fornayová. The performers will be musicians – amateurs and professionals, adults and children – who have been preparing for the premiere for an entire year.
The premiere – and the only performance – will take place on 22 May 2026 in the city center of Trenčín. We invite you to be part of it.

Tuning the City is being created as a new site-specific work for Trenčín 2026. Within the context and spacetime of the European Capital of Culture, it follows the strong tradition of Slovak conceptualists of the 1960s and 70s, such as Ladislav Kupkovič, Milan Adamčiak and many others. Bringing together numerous musicians in public space requires courage to experiment and to search for what we share.
