Kvapka – večer pri naturálnom víne: Wimmer-Czerny

Bratislava has a new home for natural wine. The Nahé vína project joins forces with Rómerová dom and brings a series of regular guided tastings with international participation under the name Kvapka - evenings with natural wine.

The second evening in May will belong to the Austrian winery Wimmer-Czerny from the Wagram area. The family winery is located in the village of Fels am Wagram, approximately 70 km west of Vienna, and its history goes back to the beginning of the 17th century according to preserved documents. Today, the Czerny family farms approximately 15 hectares of vineyards and 12 hectares of fields in the Demeter biodynamic regime.

Wagram is an area known for deep loess soils, significant differences between day and night temperatures and wines with natural balance, structure and fine minerality. Wimmer-Czerny specializes mainly in white wines - especially the Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Roter Veltliner varieties, which belong to the traditional specialties of the region.

In the vineyard and in the cellar, they work as naturally as possible: the grapes are harvested by hand, fermentation takes place on their own yeast, the wines mature slowly, with a minimum of intervention and respect for the soil, the plant and the year. Their work also includes the natural PUR line - macerated, unfiltered wines, amphora, pét-nat and sulfur-free wines.

The tasting will be designed as a controlled tasting of several samples, supplemented by a gastro snack from the Rómer house kitchen. Due to the limited capacity of the historical premises and the personal nature of the event, we recommend early reservation of tickets.
