About event
The 25th Dynasty (ca. 744–656 BC) is known as the Nubian or Kushite Dynasty. It was ruled by the rulers of the Kingdom of Kush, centered in Napata, who united Egypt and sought a return to traditional religious values.
Pije, Šabaka and Taharqa were among the most important pharaohs. The dynasty ended after clashes with Assyria, which gradually took control of Egypt.
