Come and learn textile painting using the wax batik technique and spend a pleasant creative time. we will guide you through the basics of this interesting technique. Wax batik is an art technique in which patterns are created on textiles by applying hot wax and then dyeing it. Thanks to the layering of wax and colors, original, unrepeatable motifs with a unique structure are created. Each product is the result of handwork, precision and creative joy.
Wax batik is an ancient technique of painting with wax on textiles, already known from Indonesia, Egypt and Africa. Wax protects parts of the fabric from color and thus creates original patterns full of contrast. The history of batik combines craftsmanship, symbolism and an aesthetic that continues to this day. It gradually evolved from ceremonial fabrics to modern artistic experiments. At the workshop we will explore together how this traditional technique can be transformed into a contemporary creative context.
