DIRECTIONS, SCHOOLS, PROMINENT PERSONALITIES AND INTERESTING ACHIEVEMENTS IN 20TH CENTURY ARCHITECTURE
19 lessons - always from 7 pm every other Tuesday. The duration of the lesson is 60-90 minutes. First lesson 29 September 2026.
Where else to enjoy an architecture course than in the villa of the famous Adolf Loos. This twenty-lesson course will take you through the history of 20th-century architecture, and the villa itself will inspire you during the lectures. Before each lecture, you will receive an electronic outline of the given lecture, which will help you orient yourself in the topic and also serve as an overview of the subject matter covered. After the lecture, it is also possible to walk around the villa and view the current architecture exhibition on the first floor, which is curated by Adam Štěch. The lecturers are lecturers of our courses, doctors of art history: Eliška Zlatohlávková, Máša Pivovarová, Kristýna Jirátová and Adam Štěch.
PRESENT TEACHING - complete package (possibility of physical presence in the villa and online license)
- Access to lectures directly in the historic hall of the Winternitz villa.
- Lecture outlines in electronic form - we always send 1-2 days before the lecture.
- Stream the lecture in real time with the option to watch it from the comfort of your home (if you are sick or don't feel like going to the villa).
- A video recording of the lecture is available for the next 7 days after the lecture on a special page with your access data.
- The possibility to view the villa and the current exhibition for free 30 minutes before and after the lecture.
- Price - CZK 6,900.
