After a very successful performance at this year's Brutal Assault festival CULT OF FIRE with BOHEMIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRAGUE will play again in Prague's Hybernia. Once again, in its more intimate spaces, they will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana.
CULT OF FIRE continue the best traditions of Czech black metal and during their existence have become one of the few domestic bands that have managed to establish themselves also on the international music scene. The band is known above all for their visually captivating performances, with which they reached almost all continents and gradually developed into the position of headliners of rare musical events.
Symphonic arrangements for the band and BOHEMIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRAGUE were prepared by the artistic director and conductor Martin Šanda of this group, for whom cooperation with metal bands is nothing new. "It's great that we can use this project to connect two completely different musical worlds and bring classics closer to metalheads, as well as quality and honest metal to classical music lovers," says Šanda.
Vladimír Pavelka (CULT OF FIRE) , who is behind the music for this unique performance, explains how his dramaturgy was born: "After a week of intensive listening to everything that Mr. Smetana composed, the compositions National Guard March, Tábor, Czech Song, Vyšehrad, Triumphal Symphony - Scherzo, Vltava and Z české luhů a hájů. I could imagine them in all their beauty and metal design. In addition to them, I want to present my own composition Váh, which I composed as a tribute to the longest Slovak river."
This is an exclusive performance and perhaps the last chance to see this show.
