About event
The Friday day of the Steps of Understanding program will be about the senses, peace, light, touch and practical inspiration that families can take home.
Under the guidance of a certified Snoezelen guide, children and their parents will get to know the Snoezelen environment and sensory games. We will discover how light, sound, touch, smell, movement and a safe environment can promote relaxation, attention, communication and the joy of spending time together.
The program will also include a short lecture on the senses, practical tips for creating sensory games and making simple aids. Parents will thus get ideas that they can also use at home when playing, calming or exploring together with the child.
What the child and parent can experience:
Snoezelen, sensory games, joint discovery of the senses, a peaceful environment, practical ideas for the home and making a simple tool.
Date: Friday 17/07/2026
Time: 15:00 – 18:00
Place: Materské centrum Pastierik, Tomášikova 35, Košice
Contribution: €14 / 1 child + 1 parent
The Steps of Understanding program is a summer support program for a child and a parent. It is also open to families with children with disabilities, ASD, NKS or a higher need for support.
The parent is part of the program so that he and the child can experience activities that promote understanding, confidence, contact and joint discovery.
Snoezelen and sensory games are the final part of the whole week. During the previous days, we will also focus on music therapy, outdoor ergotherapy, art therapy from natural materials and sensory integration outdoors. You can register only on Friday, choose other days according to your family's needs or complete the whole week.
All participation options, prices and the complete program can be found directly in the registration form:
