About event
The Wednesday day of the Steps of Understanding program will belong to creation, nature, colors, touch and joint discovery.
Under the guidance of an expert in visual arts, children and their parents will work with natural materials that support imagination, fine motor skills, concentration and sensory perception.
The activity will focus mainly on the process, testing and the joy of creation, not on the perfect result.
Creation often helps children to express what is more difficult to describe in words. The child can work at his own pace, choose materials, explore them, combine them and experience the feeling that his idea has value.
The day will also include a train ride, which will bring another shared experience and space for discovery outside the center.
What the child can experience:
creating from natural materials, working with hands, supporting imagination, fine motor skills, attention, sensory perception and time together with parents in a calm, creative atmosphere.

Place: Materské centrum Pastierik, Tomášikova 35, Košice / exterior according to the program
Contribution: €8 / 1 child + 1 parent
The Steps of Understanding program is a summer support program for the child and the parent. It is also open to families with children with disabilities, ASD, NKS or a higher need for support.
The parent is part of the program so that he and the child can experience activities that support understanding, security, contact and joint discovery.
Art therapy from natural materials is one part of the whole week. In the following days, music therapy, outdoor occupational therapy, sensory integration outdoors, Snoezelen, sensory games, practical tips for parents and the production of simple aids await us.
You can sign up only on Wednesday, choose other days according to your family's needs or complete the whole week.
