Kristova cesta: Pašijový oltář Hanse Raphona

The work of 1499, the most meadow altar line -up in the NG exhibitions, tells the story of Christ's last days, his suffering on the cross, death, the resurrection and transmits the message that is the basis of Christianity. The colorful vibrant altar is the so -called Bible of the poor, ie the visual transformation of biblical events so that their content is understandable to the simple people of the Middle Ages. In addition to the events described in the Gospels, the altar is also a fingerprint and brings various moralist links and funny allusions
