Join us on Saturday, February 22, 2025 to a free thematic tour of the city on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
Sightseeing entitled "Peace Fragrance" will guide you through historical places Trnava, which resemble the importance of peace and its fragility over history. From the defense elements of the city, through the memorials of war victims, to the architecture arising from the search period.
9:00 - 10:00 | The greatest disaster in the history of Trnava Anička's guide
With Anička we will look at the darker chapters of the history of Trnava - from devastating fires, plague epidemics to fascinating historical measures to protect the city. You will see historical objects and places that served to defend the city, as well as their transformation into peaceful purposes, while important civic buildings arising after the war in the period of Czechoslovakia, memorials and monuments referring to the fragility of peace in contrast to the wars - as monumental works of art, but also works literally celebrating "peace" - paradoxically emerging in one of the most bloodiest totalitarian regimes. Who will last until the end will learn why the building is the best building in Trnava.
