We would like to welcome you to the Wuppertal Exchange for the Creative drumming activity!
Join an energetic activity focused on rhythm, relaxation and group dynamics. We will focus on intuitive drumming on the djembe and finding your own creative voice in a common rhythm. The activity is suitable for both beginners and advanced players.
Our community is built on sharing skills, so towards the end of drumming, more experienced drummers are happy to teach others less experienced in basic techniques and rhythms.
Why djembe drumming is a great activity:
Drumming greatly supports and develops:
Focus: Active rhythmic play improves concentration and mental presence.
Motor skills: Exercises both fine and gross motor skills and coordination.
Heart rhythm: Natural resonance with the rhythm of the drum harmonizes the body, because drumming intuitively copies the heart rhythm.
Non-verbal communication: Playing together teaches to listen and communicate effectively without words.
Friendships: Creating a common rhythm strengthens cohesion and builds friendly relationships in the group.
Come and enjoy the joy of creative play and shared experience! It is ideal if you bring your own drum (djembe) or other rhythmic musical instrument (eg percussion). Several tools will also be available on site.
