About event
🔹 Philosophy as the science and art of life, the theory and practice of life for each person and society is still relevant and vitally important.
This is certainly why UNESCO has declared the third Thursday of November as the World Philosophy Day, which we can also remember together, during the Open Day of the Nová Akropolis School of Philosophy in Košice.
🔹 WHEN: November 20, 2025, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. hrs.
🔹🔹 WHERE: Nová Akropolis - Košice, Zvonárska 13, Košice
🔹🔹🔹 APPLICATION: kosice@akropolis.sk
🔸 During the open day, an accompanying program will take place (3 identical blocks from 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.), where there will be an opportunity to think together, discuss - "philosophize" and practically verify and to try:
▪️ whether and why philosophy and the school of philosophy are still important today,
▪️ what they can bring to us all on a societal level,
▪️ what they can bring individually to each individual.
🔹 What is the most important thing in every person's life, what is the basis for a happy, healthy, successful and meaningful life? What does it depend on, what is the key to this?
🔹 Many sages and personalities teach us through their lives and works that the determining factor of the quality, success and meaningfulness of our lives is life wisdom - real, deep, practical, up-to-date.
🔹 Philosophy has always served and continues to serve to achieve and refine it - this is certainly why UNESCO has declared the third Thursday of November as World Philosophy Day, which with its activities also supports Nová Akropolis as an international School of Philosophy around the world, and which we can remember together during the Open Day of the Nová Akropolis branch of the School of Philosophy in Košice.
🔸 The accompanying program will take place in 3 equal blocks, starting at 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., for a maximum number of 15 people.
