About event

🧿 Weekend seminar on regulating the nervous system, working with the body and returning to yourself

Perhaps you function on the outside.
You go to work. You take care of your family. You handle, organize, manage. You fulfill your obligations. You smile, you communicate, you drive on.
And yet you are tired in a way that you cannot sleep.
The body is always alert. Ready to perform. For defense. On to the next problem. The head never shuts off completely. Inside, it was as if something was constantly watching, controlling, holding everything together. And even though you no longer have to fight for survival, your nervous system may still live as if it had to. Long-term stress, overload or trauma often does not manifest itself dramatically. One does not always collapse. They often just gradually lose lightness, joy, energy, contact with themselves and the ability to really rest. This is not a weakness. That's not laziness.

This is an overloaded nervous system.

And that's what we're going to work with this weekend.

🧿 What is the seminar about?

The End of Survival Mode is a deeply practical weekend seminar focused on regulating the nervous system, working with the body and returning to greater inner security, peace and stability.

We will be based on the knowledge of polyvagal theory, bioenergetics, biodynamics, modern neuroscience and work with the body and emotions. This will not be an academic lecture. It will be an experience where theory will connect with the body and personal experience. Both body and mind are engaged.

The goal is not to "fix yourself". The goal is to begin to understand what is happening inside us, why the body reacts in a certain way. Why you can't stop.
Why you are exhausted, even though "nothing terrible is actually happening". Why are you constantly tense.
Our reactions are not "wrong" but are intelligent adaptation mechanisms of the nervous system.

We will explore how the nervous system switches between states of activation, overwhelm, disengagement and relaxation. How to know when we are in fight, flight, freeze or collapse. And how to gradually learn to return to greater presence, contact with yourself and safety.

🧿 What awaits you during the weekend

During the weekend we will go through a combination of education, physical and breathing exercises, perception, sharing and practical regulation techniques. We will work with the polyvagal theory so that it is not just an interesting theory, but a practical map of your own experience.

What you will learn on the course:
• recognize states of the nervous system,
• understand reactions such as fight, flight, freeze or collapse,
• perceive body signals before complete overwhelm comes,
• work with grounding, breath and safety in the body,
• expand your capacity to manage stress without putting more pressure on yourself.

Not through performance. Not through pressure. Not through further self-control.
Not through "I have to pull myself together".
But through returning to yourself through the body, perception, movement, breath, grounding, contact and gradual expansion of capacity.

🧿 For whom the seminar is suitable

The seminar is intended for everyone who feels that they have been riding "in reserve" for a long time, who experience long-term stress, carry the consequences of trauma, overload or difficulties related to dysregulated nervous system.

It is especially close to women who have been a support for others for many years, but have lost space for themselves, their body and their needs.

It can be very supportive if you experience, for example:
• long-term stress and exhaustion,
• chronic tension,
• anxiety or panic states,
• insomnia,
• overload and overwhelm, impaired concentration
• emotional outbursts or, conversely, emotional numbness,
• muscle tension, back, neck, jaw pain,
• shallow breath, chest pressure, migraines,
• psychosomatic problems, reduced immunity,
• stress-related high blood pressure,
• inflammatory and metabolic problems aggravated by long-term stress,
• chronic fatigue,
• the feeling that you "don't have the capacity anymore".

The course can also be supportive for people who work with trauma, complex trauma or the consequences of long-term challenging life periods and burnout.

The seminar can also be beneficial for those who have been helped by psychotherapy to understand the connections, but the body still reacts the same way. "more correct".
You will take away something more subtle - and often much more important:
• a greater understanding of yourself,
• a map of your own nervous system,
• practical regulation techniques,
• the ability to perceive the body's signals,
• an understanding of your own reactions without shame and self-blame,
• greater kindness to yourself,
• the experience that you do not have to hold on by force,
• and perhaps the first real sense of relief in a long time.

Because the body doesn't need more pressure.
It needs safety.
And a person doesn't start to change when he puts more pressure on himself.
But when his nervous system finally feels that he no longer has to fight for survival.

Ends approximately at 9:00 p.m.

Saturday
9:30 a.m. start

Sunday
9:30 a.m. start
Continuation of education and exercises, work with relaxation, emotions and switching nervous states systems
Afternoon final sharing and closing of the process

🧿Lecturers
The course is led by Barbora Hejda Jurkovičová and Markéta Bouzková.

We combine work with the body, mind, nervous system, emotions and conscious experience. Our intention is to create a safe space where it will be possible to begin to perceive what the body really needs in order to allow.

🧿Capacity
The course is designed for 20 participants.
A smaller group allows for more personal guidance, more sensitive work and a safer space for sharing and individual process.

Why come now

🧿 Because further postponement often just means that the body will continue to pay the bill for what the head can still handle rationalize. But the body also remembers what the head belittles, excuses or postpones "for sometime".

The survival mode has its function. He helped you endure. It often keeps us afloat so well that we don't even notice how much energy it costs us. Until one day we find that we are no longer living with ease — we just make it through another day….

But survival mode is not meant to be lived in for the rest of our lives.
This weekend is not about “getting it right.”
It is an invitation to slow down enough to hear yourself again. Take the first clear step out. Not to perfect peace.
But to greater contact, kindness, greater capacity, safety and freedom within one's own body.
Perhaps the first real step from constantly experiencing back to life.

With you: notepad, writing utensils, eye scarf, slippers, comfortable clothes adapted to movement and dancing.
