About event

The benefit chamber evening of the international music festival Olympus Musicus 2026 will take place in the unique premises of the Klementina Mirror Chapel. The evening will connect top chamber music with the idea of solidarity and support for Ukrainian students who have found a new home and the opportunity to study in the Czech Republic.

The program will offer an impressive journey through the music of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Bruch's deeply felt Kol Nidrei, the virtuoso Suite for two violins and piano by Moritz Moszkowski and the expressive Sonata for violin and piano No. 2 by Erwin Schulhoff will be heard.

The festive climax of the evening will be the Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57 by Dmitri Shostakovich - one of the most important chamber works of the 20th century. Performed by leading Czech and foreign performers, the concert will not only offer an extraordinary musical experience, but will also remind of the power of music as a means of mutual understanding, hope and human belonging.
