The last and unique commented tour of the intergenerational group exhibition Smoke and Mirrors, which will be led by the curator of the exhibition Mira Keratová together with the member of the Open Culture platform! Verona Němcová.

Come along with the children, for whom a simultaneous educational program has been prepared. At the end of the commented parade and the educational program, we will also be happy to welcome you to the follow-up concert of the exhibiting artist Erik Sikora.

-- The power-ideological shifts in public discourse that we are currently experiencing in Slovakia go beyond the borders of nation states and are part of the global system. They rewrite the cultural, social and economic reality, which deviates from democratic principles towards authoritarian regimes of growing inequality. The exhibition Smoke and Mirrors ↗ aims to contribute to the development of open community sharing formats and perspectives of social reconciliation. It appeals to the need to develop the political imagination of new alliances based on the understanding of complex contexts and the identification of the common interests of the working class.

-- For parents interested in visiting the guided tour of the exhibition, we are preparing a parallel educational program for children: Immersed in the exhibition Smoke and Mirrors

As part of the exhibition finishing program, we have prepared for you a commented tour of the exhibition supplemented by a simultaneous educational creative program for children aged 6-11. Each participant can thus take away a valuable experience from our programs. While adults will enjoy the interpretation and discussion of the Smoke and Mirrors exhibition, children will focus on ecological issues, the landscape around us and the community that lives in it together with the gallery teacher Venda Kováčová. In the studio, they will create different types of dwellings and hiding places. Recommended age: children 6-11 years old.

The ticket is available online and at the box office of Pálffy Palace. The number of places is limited.

With a ticket, you can visit the exhibitions in the given palace after the end of the event.

You must arrive on time for the program, the gallery teacher will be waiting for you at the entrance to the palace.

You do not need to bring any art aids or materials or any artistic ideas to the event. We will provide everything necessary. Just dress comfortably. Everything that children create, they can take home with them.
