About event
An exhibition of small paintings on canvas and paper.
The common theme is inspiration from poetry - especially the poems of Bohuslav Reynek and Jan Skácel. The author discovered these for herself already in the 90s of the last century.
Song lyrics by Radůza, Pepa Lábus...
This year's black-and-white pictures are inspired by the songs of the author's sister Markéta Ambrožová, the last collages were based on the texts of Ivan Wernisch.
The inspiration of the text in the pictures is influenced by the study of scenography, where the creation of the scene and costumes is done with text an important starting point. When painting, the text is decisive not only for its content, mood, but also for the choice of technique.
After a short collaboration with theaters, the author only paints and teaches painting at Atelier Kaštan and at Studio Dobeška.
Exhibition at KC Kaštan from 2 to 30 September 2026, always on view during the Unijazz program.
