Join us for the only English-language tour of the international exhibition Gray Gold: Touching, led by exhibition curators Vendula Fremlová and Berthold Ecker.

The international exhibition Gray Gold: Touching seeks to contribute to the debate on the status of female artists with the ambition to address the connections between age, gender and creativity, as well as to highlight the late work of female artists from the post-war generations.

The international exhibition Gray Gold: Touching follows on from the previous projects Gray Gold: Czech and Slovak Women Artists Over 65 (2014) and Gray Gold: At My Fingertips (2017). The concept of these projects has long been linked to the desire to contribute to the discussion about the status of female artists in the wider Central European space, the ambition to thematize the connections between age, gender and creativity and, last but not least, the desire to make visible the later works of Slovak, Czech, German and Austrian female artists of the post-war generations. These are generations of female artists who foresaw, shaped and created the conditions for the gradual professionalization and emancipation of women's artistic creation and helped to integrate it into Czecho-Slovak and Central European art history.
