Radovan Stoklasa and Peter Marek - the authors of the exhibited photographs, will guide you through the exhibition. Two photographers, Trenčín, a photo studio and many portraits. Two photographers, one born in Trenčín and the other from Trenčín who came here to live and create. Radovan Stoklasa and Peter Marek created a visual record with the faces of people who live in Trenčín in 2026, when Trenčín is the European Capital of Culture.
A river, a castle, a square and a few cherries are not enough. People are the most important part of the city. Whether we feel good in the city and how the city develops depends on the people around us. The (non)Trenčania project is a tribute to the residents of Trenčín. To those who were born here and did not leave, but also to those who were born elsewhere, but Trenčín became their home.
Today, this collection consists of 106 photos and more are constantly being added.
The authors ended the first phase of the project with an exhibition at the KKC Hviezda in Trenčín, where the people of Trenčín and visitors to Trenčín can see it from December 11, 2025 to January 14, 2026.
The guided tour will take place on the 27th. 12. 2025 at 18:00 at KKC Hviezda.
Later, the exhibition continues at the Central European House of Photography in Bratislava, where it will be available to viewers from February 25 to March 29, 2026. Trenčín
