About event
We cordially invite you to a guided tour of the PUTIN'S DREAM exhibition by the Belgian author Carl De Keyzer.
Photos from this collection, which we brought to the Photography and Artificial Intelligence section of the 35th Photo Month, are completely fictitious, but obviously based on real visual traditions: state propaganda, documentary realism and film performance. They depict a world of perfect ceremonial processions, impossibly symmetrical architecture, glitzy youth, decadent elites and Orthodox majesty. It is Russia as we imagine it through the eyes of power - an empire that is not only rebuilt, but also idealized. The horror lies in aesthetic perfection: a visual story that is as beautiful as it is terrifying.
Its curator Jana Rajcová will guide you through the exhibition.
