📚✨ We invite you to the Book Galaxy with Juraj Červenák, who has written more than forty books, mainly in the genre of historical fantasy from the time of the ancient Slavs (Black Priest, Heroes, Bivoj series), from the Bronze Age (Bronze Ax, Gold Fleece), as well as the historical-adventure series about the anti-Turkish wars, The Adventures of Captain Báthory (so far his last volume Wall of the West).
the most successful work is the historical detective stories about Captain Stein and notary Barbarič, who investigate crimes during the reign of Emperor Rudolf II. (Dead on Hell's Hill, Blood of the Firstborn and others, the latest work was published under the title Cursed Book). The 19th-century adventure novel Zakliaty kláštor, which started the Šarkan treasures cycle, also met with great acclaim. For his work, Červenák won several awards, three times the SF/F/H Academy Award in the book of the year category, as well as the Vladimír Neff Award for the best Czech/Slovak historical novel for the book The Devil in the Looking Glass. His books are also published in Czech, Polish, Ukrainian and English. 🌍

The adventure they experienced in the haunted monastery marked them. They would prefer to forget the bloodshed. But when Adam Šarkan and Zuzka Kráľovičová join Pavlov Dobšinský on another expedition to find folk tales, darkness invades their lives again. Catching the cruel killer sets off an avalanche of events that force Šarkan to reach for a weapon and awaken his instincts as a hunter of people.
Meanwhile, several strange strangers arrive on Gemer. A Sikul nobleman, his mysterious adjutant from the time of the war in Mexico, and a Turkish scholar are on the trail of another treasure after a groundbreaking archaeological find in Lower Danube. He could supposedly awaken forces beyond human understanding and change the face of the world. The paths of both groups will soon cross.
In the second part of the series Šarkan's Treasures, a mysterious story is intertwined again with an almost western adventure in the environment of Hungary in the second half of the 19th century.
