Piano recital
Mitra Kotte
26. March 2026, 18.00
Bratislava, Austrian Cultural Forum, Hodžovo nám. 1/A
Registration: pressburg-kf@bmeig.gv.at
The Viennese pianist Mitra Kotte has put together an impressive concert evening that combines well-known pieces of piano literature with remarkable new discoveries. The program will include the works of Frédéric Chopin and Maurice Ravel - composers who are united by a poetic and at the same time highly virtuosic sound language. The repertoire will be supplemented with compositions from the current album Mitra Kotte Herstory, dedicated to female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, whose work remained unnoticed for a long time. We will listen to works by Cécile Chaminade as well as the Austrian composer Marie Hofer, who was persecuted and imprisoned during the Second World War.
Program:
Cécile Chaminade: Sonata in c minor, op. 21
Frédéric Chopin: Scherzo no. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 31
Maria Hofer: The Machine. Toccata
Maurice Ravel: Gaspard de la nuit, M. 55
