About event

✨ London Kinkajous play music for insomnia. He brings his unique mix of jazz and electronics to Prague for the first time. Kinkajous

The British band will perform 3 April in the Acropolis Palace at the Music Infinity evening. Duo Kinkajous, consisting of a drummer and producer Benoît Parmentier and saxophonist Adrien Cau, explores the boundary between jazz, orchestral music and ambient electronics. Their music evokes the atmosphere of the night clock: the lazy saxophone resembles moments spent in the bar just before dawn, while sparse rhythms transfer listeners to the dance club, where the fun is silent and people dance with themselves. Like this animal, the music of Kinkajous is quiet, mysterious and full of loneliness. The Prague audience will have the opportunity to hear their latest Nothing Willing Will Disappear album, which has been looking for subtlety in maximumism and excitement in ambient areas. Being Waves (2021), supported by recognized musicians and media such as Gilles Peterson, Benji B or The Vinyl Factory. They combine acoustic and orchestral tools with analog synthesizers and samples on their albums, creating an introspective and fierce atmosphere. Together they mix intimacy with a detailed sense of melody. Kinkajous has sold out concerts in the London Halls Kings Place and Jazz Cafe, performances at festivals such as Firenze Jazz Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival or Secret Garden Party, and cooperation with the London Contemporary Orchestra. April 3, Czech listeners will have the opportunity to experience their Noctural jazz live in the Acropolis Palace for the first time thanks to Music Infinity.
