In a world in which self-optimization is de rigueur and there is hardly any room for uncertainty, Kind Kaputt provide a powerful counter-proposal. The Leipzig band does not place perfection, but the chaos of life at the center of their music. Their songs talk about overwhelm, doubt and the deep longing for support. In January they will come to their hometown of Leipzig for an album release show and bring new music to the stage. An extensive tour through Germany follows in March.
Instead of ready-made answers, Kind Kaputt offers sincere questions: Their songs are not didactic, but searching - carried by an intense sound between alternative rock, post-punk and indie melancholy. The guitars are loud, the lyrics are clear, the emotions are raw. What once sounded like angry self-destruction is now a direct, reflected look at life. Kind Kaputt manages to translate their conflict into poetic lines and urgent melodies - somewhere between desperation and the courage to carry on anyway. With their new single “How does that happen?”, Kind Kaputt are teasing new music and at the same time releasing a new, very special concert date: on January 24th, 2026 they will be playing their “Hometown Show” at the beginning of the year at Werk2 in Leipzig. This will be followed by several shows throughout Germany.
