KI in der Praxis: Architekturentscheidungen & Softwarequalität im Wandel
AI in practice: Architectural decisions & software quality in transition
Event by: SIBB // Digitalverband Berlin-Brandenburg
Location: Merantix AI Campus, Max-Urich-Straße 3, Berlin - Mitte
About event
How can proof-of-concepts be created quickly converted into stable and compliant systems? The talk shows practical architectural decisions and patterns that combine integration paths, MLOps or LLMOps pipelines and human-in-the-loop feedback to efficiently control latency, costs, robustness and compliance.
In addition, we will discuss how AI influences the role of testers, test automators and quality engineers changed. Instead of isolated test cases, the focus is now on quality as a holistic component of the entire development process. The event provides insights into current trends and shows how the transition to the next era of software quality can be successfully managed.
Three compact keynote speeches await you. We are particularly pleased that this time we are guests at MERANTIX Campus Berlin - in an inspiring environment with space for exchange, discussion and networking. After the lectures there is enough time for questions, conversations with the speakers and networking over snacks and drinks.
Bring your perspective and your questions!
Who is the event for?
For software architects, developers, enterprise architects, CTOs, CEOs, IT managers, tech leads, product managers, software testers and everyone who doesn't use AI-based systems only want to develop, but also operate productively and with quality assurance.
Register now for free - places are limited!
This event is supported by the SIBB, International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB), the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and the Arbeitskreis Software-Quality und -Furtbildung e.V. (ASQF).
Program highlights
// Architecture shortcut with and for productive AI systems - clear decisions instead of open to-dos
Dimitri Blattner
In this compact lecture, architects, tech leads and product managers receive a focused package of decisions and measures to quickly transfer AI projects from proof-of-concept to stable production. We create an overview of relevant requirements (such as the EU AI Act) as well as solution approaches and concentrate on tangible architectural decisions: integration paths (API calls, embeddings + RAG, fine-tuning, agents), patterns and indispensable operational building blocks - model and prompt versioning, evaluation pipelines, observability. You'll see how MLOps/LLMOps pipelines and human-in-the-loop feedback loops work together to balance latency, cost, robustness, and compliance. The goal: clear architectural decisions instead of open to-dos.
Dimitri is an expert in software and enterprise architecture, IT consulting and digital innovation management. With over ten years of IT experience and more than five years in teaching and research, he designs modern, reliable, scalable systems to implement digital transformation. He started as a software developer in high-performance computing, took on leadership roles in the automotive industry and consulting, and was co-founder and CTO of an AI and XR solutions startup. Its core competencies: cloud technologies, mobile/hybrid architectures, AI systems, safety-critical embedded systems as well as software and enterprise architecture.

// AI taking over? A turning point in software quality
Richard Seidl
Testing Software is evolving rapidly. It's no longer just about executing test cases, but about influencing software quality at every stage. The days of clicking around are long gone. Testing and quality are now holistic topics – without them it is no longer possible. But what does the future look like? Will test automation soon be taken over by AI? How is our role as testers, test automators or quality engineers changing? And how do we deal with the vast amount of software that Vibe Coding will bring us in the next few months? The lecture highlights current developments in software development and focuses on central topics that are permanently changing software quality and testing.
Richard "Richie" Seidl is an expert in software testing, agile quality coach and podcast host. Over the past 25 years, his career has brought him into contact with a variety of software: good and bad, big and small, new and old. Software so beautiful that you could cry and also the kind that makes your toenails curl up.For Richie, one thing is clear: Creating exceptional software today requires a holistic view of the development process - the integration of people, context, methods and tools. Only when these elements work together harmoniously can a way of thinking emerge that unlocks potential and promotes innovation. Richie is the author of several books on software testing, host of a software testing podcast, and international keynote speaker.

// AI in Requirements Engineering put to the test
Gorjan Lojpur
AI is increasingly finding its way into requirements engineering - but the field now resembles a jungle: brilliant marketing promises here, academic prototypes there, plus comprehensive enterprise suites and countless LLM-based mainstream tools in between. Product managers, business analysts and those interested in AI alike are wondering what can actually be achieved with freely available LLMs today - without sales pitches or days of experimentation. In this keynote speech, Gorjan clears up the hype and shares insights from research and practice: Where does AI really help with typical tasks such as requirements gathering and writing user stories?
As a Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Business Analyst, Gorjan supports product and project teams in structuring complex IT projects and implementing them reliably. He relies on agile project management, tailor-made methods and in-depth IT delivery experience - without dogmatically introducing “textbook Scrum”. He pays particular attention to requirements engineering, which still causes friction in the processes of many projects and teams.
