Norway's leading goat horn player and Tenor saxophonist has an impressive drive to constantly explore the relationship between folk music and jazz - and everything around it, everything outside of it. It is difficult to pigeonhole Karl Seglem. He has created his own sound universe, his own genre so to speak. And music is an important and personal form of expression for him. Much of the inspiration for his creative process comes from Norwegian folk music – and nature. The quartet presents music from a long line of critically acclaimed album releases (44). Soundscapes in which both mountain homeland, sand dunes, asphalt jungle, undulating forests and life-giving water can be heard. Overwhelmingly extroverted, beautifully energetic, poetic Norwegian music. bFlat's concerts in 2025 will mark the 10th time in 10 years.
