About event
Homelessness of families with children is an urgent social problem that has far-reaching health, economic and social impacts. In the discussion, we will therefore focus on the health and financial consequences of the housing shortage, we will discuss the current situation in Slovakia and abroad. I will discuss what the data tell us, what are the trends and specific challenges within the country. We will also deal with functional solutions for ending family homelessness - what approaches have proven themselves in Slovakia and in other countries, what are examples of good practice, including programs with a housing first approach, preventive and intervention measures.
