Joki speelt "Naakt" in de Reprise

A cabaret performance by Joki Beerendonk, in which personal stories, striking jokes and beautiful songs alternate. Joki peels the layers of her past and goes looking for the naked truth. She does not shy away from themes such as depression, youth traumas, addiction and the transition. She literally and figuratively exposes herself on stage. Not to shock or like erotic diva, no, as a budding new start crawling out of the egg to show the woman she has become in all her imperfections. With "nude", Joki tells in a moving, candid and characteristic of her personal - and at the same time universal - experiences. For Joki Beerendonk (1965) it is already clear as a child: she wants to entertain people. After high school she wins a talent show and goes into the country. She writes songs, theatrical dinner shows and listens to party with her performances such as Jordanian toilet lady or Seventies Chick and everything in between. Joki is also self -taught. Due to the stimulus of people from the Kleinkunst world, Joki made her debut in 2015 with the personal cabaret performance "Nude". Then she was in a sold -out Betty Asphalt Complex, the theater of Paul Haenen night after night. This time she shines together with Sascha Pauel in Theater de Richel in Amsterdam. After a decade and a lot of demand for a reprise, she will be on stage with a lot of love, among other things.
