Body percussion is a musical style of playing on a body drawing from many cultures. It is one of the oldest musical arts in the world, in which one's own body is used to create sounds. Before primitive people picked up sticks or stones, they certainly tried to create sounds on their own bodies. Using clapping, stomping and other beats, they began to create music. Currently, he mixes elements of tap, hambone and other elements drawn from the traditions of various world cultures.
Body percussion combines music and dance into one. From the moment you use certain movements to create a rhythm, you are also a dancer... and without any musical instrument!
Body play develops a sense of rhythm, perception, coordination, cooperation and communication . At the same time, body percussion improves motor skills and, by engaging different parts of the brain, has a positive effect on memory and concentration. At the same time, together we create energetic music that will make you feel good and you can play it anywhere - at home, at school, on the street, in the park... anywhere! because you are an instrument!
