About event
We invite you to the mini-festival of independent theater, which is created as a gesture of support for creators who were not supported by the Art Support Fund in the 2025/2026 season - despite the recommendation of the expert committee. Join us and support specific independent theater in Slovakia.
The well-being of the independent group One breath is the last part of the trilogy Fragility – Vanity – Well-Being and closes the path from vulnerability through exhaustion to the question of whether well-being exists at all – and under what conditions it can be achieved. Isn't well-being just a word we use when we can no longer name the fatigue, the longing and the contradiction between who we are and who we would like to be? Isn't it just an invention of enough?
Performance is an intimate conversation, it touches places where the personal mixes with the public, where happiness is a privilege and peace is a form of defiance. Authors and performers Veronika Malgot and Libuša Čižmárik Bachratá move between the spoken word and dance movement in the rhythm of internal states - between laughter and crying, between the desire to want and not to have, between the possibility of well-being and its sabotage, between imagination and reality. dependence on the views of others, but also the desire for closeness and belonging. How many female identities make us truly happy? Well-being does not offer answers, rather it asks questions: what if well-being is subjective - and collective at the same time? And what if, instead of looking for it, we just want to relax in a world that constantly pushes for performance. Understand each other. Hug each other. Being human.
Extremely honest, funny, intimate and kind production about the weight of the world, which women silently carry on their shoulders. About the desire to create something real.

One Breath is an independent performative group moving on the border between dance and author's theater. Their productions are characterized by originality, professionalism and a strong author's statement, in which contemporary dance is naturally connected with theatrical procedures. In their work, they focus on personal themes, work with a fragmentary structure, humor and open intimacy. They are characterized by work with the spoken word, physicality and the authentic presence of female performers.
The group has long been developing authorial formats based on collective creation and researching women's experiences in the context of the contemporary world.
