About event

Wild Horses, the project of one of the most prominent personalities of the Czech music scene, Monika Načeva, brings to music the poems of artists persecuted by the previous regime from the 60s-80s. flight. The lyrics of the songs thus come from the pen of Václav Hrabět, Ivan Martin Jirous, Pavel Zajíček (whose poem also gave the name to the entire project), Vladimíra Čerepková, Věra Jirousová or Šárka Smazalová. In 2020, the first album of the same name was released, the band is currently working on a new record called Jdem temným dnem, which will be released in the fall of 2024.

In a brand new band, Načeva managed to bring together musicians and sound alchemists from the opposite poles of the Czech alternative scene - on percussion Zdeněk Regál Jurčík (Lvmen, Tomáš Palucha, Priessnitz, Kafka band), on keyboards Vojtěch Procházka (Vertigo, Harpreet Bansal, Freetown Quartet, Mikoo, Sisa Feher, Talaqpo) and on bass guitar Michal Koval (Masomlejn, Dg 307, recorded the album Nebe je rudý with Načeva). p>

Her main feature is work with poems, an original approach and a non-genre journey. As an actress, she played in the cult theaters A-studio Rubín, HaDivadlo and Sklep. She collaborated with theater groups Secondhand Woman and Vosto5, plays in the Minor children's theater. She is the author of the regular program Seventh Heaven with Načeva on Czech Radio Vltava.
