Jazzové vinohradské setkávání: Milan Svoboda Quartet

The Milan Svoboda Quartet will play as part of the Vinohrady Jazz Meeting in the Mandragora wine bar in Prague.

The music of the Milan Svoboda Quartet continues the tradition of modern jazz of the 60s and 70s. However, there are also influences of rock, folklore and contemporary classical music. Milan Svoboda often arranges his compositions into larger thematic units, creating characteristic suites that allow enough space for creative improvisations by all members of the group. With his quartet, Milan Svoboda gave concerts almost all over Europe, the USA and India, took part in a number of jazz festivals and recorded the gramophone albums Okno dokořán, The Boston Concert, Dedication, Tonight Tomorrow Morning, Milan Svoboda Q & Tony Lakatos, Sign of the Sagittarius and Live At The Castle's. His participation in the first year of the European Jazz Night festival in Vienna, which was broadcast by the EBU television company throughout Europe, was prestigious.
