About event
Jazzbois (HU) *live*
Opening DJ set by Àbáse
Doors: 7:30 p.m.
Show: 8:30 p.m.
The Jazzbois are a jazz-hip-hop fusion trio from Budapest. Their debut album "Jazzbois Goes Blunt" had a strong influence on both the jazz and hip-hop scenes, creating a unique psychedelic-tinged fusion that shocked jazz and beat lovers alike. They combine improvisational jazz structures with modern beats and samples to create unique soundscapes and have made waves internationally. This is not only due to their many rousing releases, but above all to their way of working, because in the studio and on stage they passionately indulge in improvisation and constantly recreate their music. That’s what makes their sound so exciting and lively. One thing is certain: the full Jazzbois experience can only be had live.
With “Jazzbois Goes Blunt” (2019) and “Jazzbois Goes Blunt II” (2021) they fundamentally revolutionized the jazz and beat scene. “Danubian Phases”, a collaboration with the young saxophonist and flautist Dom Beats, was released in 2022, followed by “Higher Dimensions Waiting Room” (2023) and “Still Blunted” (2024).
As busy as usual, the trio has already announced several new singles and another album by the end of the year. We are pleased that the Jazzbois are stopping at Gretchen with this year's “Tour of Hope” and we can promise: It will be as great as last time, but completely different.
