As part of the Alsergrund Cultural SummerConcentrated female power at Jazz & Crime on Alsergrund! Here innovative jazz is combined with crime suspense!
On June 27th, THE undisputed Austrian crime queen Edith Kneifl will read from her latest Vienna crime novel “The Uncanny Patient”, set to jazz music by the Viennese “first couple of jazz” Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik", which picks up on the mood of the text passages, expresses it musically and reinforces it.
When comfortable dimness meets the darkest sides of the Viennese soul, Arthur Lang, a psychoanalyst with father problems, investigates. And the question arises: Who belongs on the couch more urgently? The patient or the psychoanalyst.
Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik fetch and fetch themselves the inspiration for their songs on numerous tours through Europe, Asia, Africa and America, with 2000 joint concerts in 52 countries around the world, from the intimate jazz club to the big stage or at international festivals - from Tokyo to Tehran, Kuala Lumpur to Yerevan, Cape Town to Delhi, Shanghai to Almaty, Hong Kong to Krakow, Havana to Moscow, Chicago to Ottawa, Mistelbach to Ankara...
Presented on June 28th Christine Neumeyer her latest historical Vienna crime thriller “The Emperor’s Kiss”.
