Spring Historical Ball

About event
We invite you to the ceremonial Renaissance ball at the end of the ball season in the early Baroque refectory of the Prague Emmaus Abbey in Slavs.
The program of the ball is dedicated to the music and dance of Renaissance Europe and early Baroque. You can look forward to popular mansion and burgher dances of the 16th and 17th centuries, which will again play our court ensemble Fragium16 under the artistic leadership of Pavel Jirásek. Dance entertainment will be Tanzmagister, Miroslav Smaha, for the pleasure of all present to teach them the ways of dance art and curtoazia. Also this year, Hanka Tillmanová accepted our invitation and will teach counters to John Playford. The Eld of Dance Regi Caroli Regis will be presented to you by Italian Balletti Renaissance nobility. Cavalry can compete in the category of demonstration of the most revenge. You can also take part in the competitions in recitation of poems or sing with us to sing cheerful drinks. Everybody, even a complete beginner, can participate. The refectory is adjacent to the changing lounge. We like to recommend those interested in period costumes by one of the theater rentals, or we can rent costumes from the Fundus of the Dance School for just a contribution to the treatment plant of CZK 800 to 900. Barrandov Studio offers a wide selection of costumes and a 10 % discount on the rental price (the motto is the "Dance School"). Historical costume is not a condition for participation in the ball! Guests who do not own a costume can come in contemporary social clothing. Gentlemen can use shoes for social dance, low -heeled ladies (high -heeled shoes cannot be used!).

All are cordially invited to jointly dancing and feasting! For the estate will be set down the feast tables and historical dishes, which please bring dishes and drinks to your taste. For we have our own kitchen in the monastery somewhat.
Admission to the treasury of the monastery will take place in the amount of CZK 450. Tickets and booking are not needed.
