About event
🎶 Jarné Jazzáky: Waan (NL)
📅 May 16, 2026
📍 Bratislava, Metropol
Spring Jazzáky are back and on May 16 they will bring the energetic Dutch group Waan to the newly opened Bratislava club Metropol. 🇳🇱
Waan blurs the boundaries between electronic and acoustic music, dance floor energy and jazz improvisation in their work. In the studio, they work closely with producer Oscar de Jong from the legendary Kraak & Smaak.
Their debut album Echo Echo, as well as the new release We want Waan (2026), were released on the prestigious Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv. On the new album, the band expands its sound universe even more – bold, restless and brimming with curiosity.
🔥 Waan is a project of saxophonist Bart Wirtz and keyboardist Emiel van Rijthoven. Together with bass guitarist Matteo Mazzù and drummer Mark Schilders, they create a raw, adventurous sound combining groove electronics, atmospheric melodies and improvisational freedom.
🎧 They will perform in Bratislava as part of the tour for their second album, which was released in early 2026.
✨ A concert full of energy, rhythm and unexpected musical moments awaits you.
🎫 Early Bird tickets are on sale until 5/9 at 12:00
