for Who: for students and the wider public across the age group, who are interested in movement and collective thinking about the body and relationships in the current world

A weekly movement laboratory led by Eva Priečková and Zuzana Žabková, who have several years of experience in the practice of expanded choreography, movement improvisation, creative work, work with touch, active imagination, critical thinking and group facilitation so that all voices are equally heard and especially those who struggle with persistent oppression and inattention.

During their studies abroad (Germany, USA) they were confronted with a lot of content that is focused on somatic practices and creative-critical thinking about dance and performance. We would like to share this knowledge in a diverse group in a gym in Bratislava, thus building on the several years of pedagogical activity of both artists, which invites more and more people across age categories to dance and performance.

We would like to focus the movement laboratory on the issue of critical thinking in dance and performance, the politics of bodies and relationships, neoliberal tendencies in the topics of self care or somatic dancing. We would like to look together at these problematic areas of dance education and offer tools to get closer to collectivity, cooperation and belonging in times of social and environmental crises.

//Would you hug each other longer than usual? Would you melt slowly to the ground and lie on top of each other? Would you slow down time and feel a parasympathetic thrill? How much support do you give to others and how much do you need yourself?//
