Jan Benda: Kartografie změněných stavů vědomí: Buddhistická mapa pro psychonauty PRAHA + ONLINE

While Western psychology for decades focused primarily on personality development and the treatment of mental disorders, Buddhist abhidhamma psychology explored positive possibilities for the development of human consciousness and transpersonal development. The Abhidhamma mapped in great detail individual types of altered states of consciousness and their benefits and pitfalls. It can therefore be a very interesting inspiration for all psychonauts and psychedelic researchers.
At the lecture we will briefly get to know the traditional Buddhist view of altered states of consciousness. We will outline some ethical-psychological connections of therapeutic and ontological integration and think about what we can take from psychedelic experiences to everyday life. We will also compare the findings of psychedelic and contemplative research and draw inspiration for the use of psychedelics in therapy, personal and spiritual development.

The event will also be streamed.
