About event
In the installation I SHOUT, YOUR ECHOES ARE BACK, WHAT AM I? (2023), which is on view in the new exhibition DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign, artist Flaka Haliti depicts a bat and a snake, two ancient enemies, prey and predator. But here they are seated together. Like yin and yang, they remind us that opposites can be interconnected and one loses its meaning without the other. In the hanging pieces, he uses transparent Plexiglas with a bat, which is intertwined with a luminous hose that represents a snake. Together they create one work - one composite being.
In this Atelierovka we will create a similar work. Let's think about what pairs of creatures are interconnected. They may be enemies, yet together they create a balance in nature. Then engrave or paint one animal on the tracing paper with white paint. For the second animal, we will use a color that glows in the dark. Finally, we attach a thread to the piece so that we can hang it in the space - like the exhibited object of the artist Flaka Haliti. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, June 28 at 14:00!
Tickets for Ateliérovka for 130 CZK (participants) or 50 CZK (accompaniment) can be purchased directly before the event at the Galerie Rudolfinum box office. Parents can join in, or let the children create with our lecturers and in the meantime browse the DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign exhibition undisturbed. Admission to it is voluntary.
