Locked up in her childhood room, Iphigenie awaits her execution. It all starts with a curse that has been on her family - since Tantalos. Later, her father Agamemnon triggers the Trojan War by stealing Helena and angers the goddess Artemis by killing a sacred deer. The punishment: no wind. According to the seer Kalchas, only through the sacrifice of his daughter could the war continue. In isolation, Iphigenia begins to doubt - about her role, about her father, about the system. Is there a way out of the millennia-old narrative that only knows women as victims, saints or witches?

Author and actress Lilly-Marie Vogler tears back the ancient curtain and tells the story in a new way: radical, feminist, from Iphigenie's perspective. A confrontation with patriarchal narratives - and the attempt to rewrite history.

"Already at drama school, she wrote an Iphigenie monologue. As a member of the Regensburg theater ensemble, she developed the 90-minute solo "Iphigenie's Revenge" between comedy and songs, feminist reckoning and puberty in the teenage room. At the same time relaxed and angry, Vogler brings the ancient material into the present with enormous energy. “She’s in the same league as Bodo Wartke (“Oedipus the King”, “Antigone”) and urgently needs to go on tour with her Iphigenia.” - FAZ, March 6th, 2025
