About event
[English below] In our own direction - toy cars, boats, seat mats.
Short films by children from Cameroon, Venezuela and Papua New Guinea
The Ye'kwana live in the rainforest on the Amazon. The girls show you how they weave hammocks. The children from Papua New Guinea tie a sitting mat and build a toy car. What was the last thing you built yourself? What would you like to be able to do yourself?
The children learned how to make films in workshops in their hometowns. We show the short films in the Humboldt Forum in a cinema experience that lets you take part in the lives of the children. A moderator will guide you through the afternoon.
