HUSTLE Workshop & Social

Dance mood in the track//garden!

Hustle Workshop and Social with Marita & Songhay

Come to us in the Gleis// Garden on July 8th and August 8th from 6:00 p.m. and dance with us! 🕺🥳

Hustle is a couple dance that originated in the Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities in The Bronx in the 1970s and can be danced to disco/funk, RnB, hip hop and house music. What we personally like about this dance style is that the roles are not “gender norm”. It's not a man dancing with a woman, but a leader with a follower. Therefore, a woman can be a leader or a man can be a follower, a woman can dance with a woman, a man can dance with a man.

The evening will consist of two blocks. A class and a subsequent social. The class will be open to all levels but will have a focus on the (beginner) basics.

The social will then give you the opportunity to freely mix and combine things from the class.

We look forward to seeing you!
Marita & Songhay

The event is free of charge for you. First come first served. :)
