About event
The British electro-pop pioneer and charmer Howard Jones went on a big European tour in autumn 2025 and celebrates the 40th anniversary of his groundbreaking album Dream into action. After several successful US tours, the musician comes back to Germany for the first time in many years.
The tour start on October 18 in Augsburg and leads Jones with his band through seven German cities, including Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin.
Dream into action, published in 1985, is one of the milestones of electronic pop music and brought out international hits such as “Things Can Only Get Better "," No One is to Blame "and" Like to get to know you well ". The album reached 2nd place on the UK charts and ended up in the top 10 in the USA. Thanks to younger pop culture appearances-for example in the Netflix series Stranger Things-Jones' songs are currently experiencing a new wave of popularity.
"This album was created on the way-in the tourbus, everywhere. This energy can be felt in the songs," said Jones. Even today he inspires with rousing live shows, in which fans of all generations sing along-from long-standing companions to curious gene Z-listeners: inside. "It means a lot to me that the music touches so many people after all these years," says the singer, who once appeared with Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock at the Grammys and the legendary Live Aid 1985.
Jones, who is one of the most successful British artists in the 80s worldwide, remains a passionate performer at the age of 70: "I see myself as an encourager. Sometimes everyone needs a boost to realize our dreams. ”
